About RABS

The Romanian Association for Better Software (RABS) is a non-profit organization, created by software professionals for their peers.
Stay competitive! Our goal is to help raise the quality of our products as an industry, in order to position ourselves better in the global economy.
Technology. Although Software Architecture is hardly disconnected from technology, our association welcomes members specialized in any technologies or software development specialties.

Vision and inspiration. While attending Juval Lowy’s “Architect’s Master Class” in Germany in 2010, his approach to Software Engineering and his determination to put the “Engineering” back into Software Engineering have convinced me of the crisis software development currently goes through and the need to take action. Sergiu Damian, co-founder.

Thus, this association was born with three goals in mind:
– Provide resources for the continuous education of experienced Software Developers and Architects
– Share best practices on Software Architecture and the Architect’s role in modern software development
– Bring together local software thinkers with international experts in order to increase both local experience and the global awareness of Romanian skills.

The association will organize free and paid events centered around software engineering topics. We will invite top international and local speakers to teach us and help us make the leap forward, faster.
